Being a hero was never an easy thing, and if you were a superhero, odds are it wasn’t as easy as the media made you think. There was obviously the training and the potential of going into life-threatening situations whenever there was a villain with too much time on their hands, a natural-disaster about to destroy a city, or a crisis that threatened a universe’s very existence. But probably the hardest thing for superheroes (or at least the ones who were serious about their roles) was the constant-vigilance: you had to always be on alert for threats, even non-violent ones. Sometimes, even just a nosy-neighbor could expose your secret-identity if you weren’t careful. Naturally, many heroes took advantage of peace whenever they could find it.
